Staples Pushes Small Businesses Forward with $150,000 in Digital
FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May. 6, 2013--
Small business owners recognize the power of social media in engaging
customers but most lack the expertise to apply the latest digital
marketing tools to their businesses, according to a recent survey
conducted by Staples,
Inc. (NASDAQ: SPLS), the world's largest office products company and
second largest internet retailer.
In fact, a large Facebook community of fans topped a small business
“wish list,” outranking such traditional marketing tools such as a
celebrity endorsement (22%) and Super Bowl ad (18%).
To help small businesses master powerful digital tools, Staples is
helping push small business forward by awarding three small businesses
$50,000 each in digital marketing as part of the Staples
Push It Forward Contest launching today on Staples’ Facebook page
through 5:00 p.m. ET on May 31, 2013. For rules and eligibility, visit
the contest on Facebook.com/Staples.
“Small businesses play a vital role in our communities,” said Alison

and are taking that to the next level by providing the latest digital
