|Staples Offers 'March Madness' to Local Businesses in 3-On-3 Corporate Challenge|
|WESTBOROUGH, Mass./PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 9, 1999--Staples the Office Superstore, in association with the Phoenix Suns, is challenging area small businesses to take to the courts for a corporate version of March Madness, and an opportunity to compete against other businesses in the "Staples Corporate Challenge", a 3-on-3 basketball tournament for company teams.
"Recognizing the competitiveness of our small business customers in the workplace, Staples encourages all small businesses to take part in this fun and unique on-court competition," said Dick Neff, senior vice president of western operations for Staples. Businesses may register for the "Staples Corporate Challenge" by visiting one of 16 participating Staples stores in the Phoenix area, now through March 19. Brochures are available at all checkout and customer service counters. The winning company team will be invited to bring 20 people to watch a Phoenix Suns game at a luxury suite and will receive a $1000 gift certificate from Staples. The second and third place teams will receive a $500 gift certificate from Staples.
The "Staples Corporate Challenge" is available to area businesses and is being conducted as part of the Phoenix Suns' "Rock-The'Rim" tournament, Arizona's largest 3-on-3 basketball competition, open to the general public. Games and activities are to be conducted March 26-28 at Patriot Park in downtown Phoenix.
