FRAMINGHAM, Mass., Aug 12, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Staples, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPLS) today announced an agreement with Starbucks Coffee Company (Nasdaq: SBUX) that makes Staples the first office supply retailer to offer a select variety of premium Starbucks(R) whole bean and ground coffees in their stores. A selection of Starbucks(R) coffees, Tazo(R) teas and merchandise are being rolled out at almost all of the Staples stores in the United States.

Staples currently offers Starbucks(R) products at 150 stores in the United States and the roll out will continue to other Staples stores in the coming months. Customers can expect to find Starbucks(R) coffees, Tazo(R) teas and merchandise in the majority of Staples stores this fall.
